I just thought I would send you a quick note to tell you how thrilled I was to receive one of your knives. My son in law, Al Ohlin, came down to Prince George in November to hunt mule deer. When he arrived he gave me a beautiful Bandit knife that he had made for me by you. (See attached picture). He also had a knife made for him with the same type of handle and a slightly different blade.
My previous hunting knife is a 3” long blade drop point made by Hans Leber from Hudson hope B.C. It is a wonderful knife that I have used for several years but I needed a knife that had a little longer blade with a longer usable surface area. This knife (Bandit Blade) fits the bill perfectly. While it is a beautiful, hand crafted work of art it is also a knife that I will use often on my hunting and camping trips. While on the November deer hunt I was able to use it to gut and skin two deer and it is still as surgical sharp as when I got it. I will use this knife with pride for the remainder of my hunting years (hopefully many) and pass it on to my grand daughter or grandson when I am no longer here.
Thank-you again for your skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail that make this wonderful gift from my son in law already a treasured family heirloom.
